I ignored this plant when the box of trial plants arrived. It was for shade and I would have to go looking for a place to plant it. When I saw this ignored starter plant about 2 weeks later, a hummingbird attracted me to the plant. It was in a raised bed garden that surounds the patio. So, maybe it could take a bit of noon day sun, so I planted it right then and there. It did get afternoon and morning shade, but midday is sunny for a short while. This beautiful plant thrived. I slowly spread out reaching about 18" across and 10 " high. It was just beautiful and covered with blooms right up until that final fatal frost in mid October. Yes, I would recommend this plant with intense white and purple flowers. And I would like to see the other colors growing. Should I suddenly inherit some more shade, I would consider using this plant. If I had known it would do so well, I might have found a container for it tumble over the edges.
