Professional Growing Information This has grown vigorously, and really has the potential to be a star, BUT, the fuchsia pink petals are so delicate that they fall out of the bracts as soon as a bumblebee lands on them, so I have a plant absolutely covered in bracts, but no fuchsia petals. I have watched over and over as the bees visit, and the petals just don't hold up to their weight and fall out after a few visitors. I'm sad, this is like a performance that goes perfectly and then flubs the big finale.

Maintenance Notes:Rockin'® Fuchsia - Salvia hybrid is a wonderful annual Salvia (except in frost free zones, where it is perennial) compact and richly colored pollinator flower plant. It is easy and trouble free. It is sterile so it will not set seed and that means it will just bloom, and bloom and bloom all season without stopping.
You can easily trim to keep the shape or size where you want it, and it will branch out and become even thicker and more full of flowers.
Regular watering and fertilizing will keep the Rockin'® Fuchsia - Salvia hybrid, a pollinator flower plant at maximum color and growth but it is amazingly tough and once established in a pot of the garden will tolerate lower levels of food and water. However, severe drought will cause lower leaves to drop and if this happens give it a quick haircut removing the upper 1/3 of growth and once it is back to normal watering it will fill back in.

I love the color of this Salvia, but I wish I knew how to get it to 3 feet! Last year they were destroyed by slugs, maybe too wet/shady to flourish. I just keep trying in different places, but starting to feel a bit insane! Zone 8b

I wanted to like this salvia, I thought I would like this salvia. But actually, it’s been underwhelming. Slow to grow and not particularly floriferous, though it is planted in a spot where 2 other salvias grew like crazy (Playin’ the Blues and Amistad). It looks okay now, but nothing special. I did see one hummingbird on it.

At the end of the springtime, my local supermarket, has a few annuals they sell each year. I saw this Proven Winner's Rockin Fushia salvia there and on a great sale. I got excited since I've heard from the gardener YouTubers that this is one amazing plant. I planted it in my cottage garden, and it was really disappointing. It must have been growing it's roots all summer, but towards the end of August, it started to develop it's flower stalk, and my was it beautiful. I kept it in the ground to see if it would come back in the springtime. I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA, zone 7B. Today is April 15th and I was working in my cottage garden and discovered that this Rockin Fushia Salvia has popped it's little head up all over in around 1 foot in diameter. I can't believe it. We had such a cold hard winter, with many days at 1 degree, and zero, and minus 1, 2 and 3 for around a week or so. Most of January did not go above 32 degrees. I have a sleeping plant that is creeping up out of my flower garden, and I'm so excited to see it bloom its head off this summertime. I know the sleeping (roots), creeping, and leaping phrase, but my, my, my I am a happy gardener!!

This salvia is gorgeous! I bought this plant from Lowes on clearance as an annual. I LOVE it! The hummingbirds and bees love it. It just keeps on blooming, even in tough heat and humidity here in SC. I had seen a few comments where, even though it's rated to a zone 9, there are reports of it returning even in a zone 7. So I decided to try it. It's not listed as a perennial for me, but i see new leaves and it's coming back!! Even in spite of our winter temps dropping to 12° several nights in a row. We are a zone 8a. I plan to spread it all around my perennial beds. If you haven't tried it, you need to!

I bought this plant at the nursery last summer. I grew it in a pot and it did great! The hummingbirds were really attracted to it. I brought it inside for the winter and put it in a room without much sun because we were renovating the sunniest room in the house at the time. It lost all of its leaves as I expected, but I put it back in the sunniest room once we were done renovating. I only watered it a couple times a month, and it's now growing all of it's leaves back beautifully. Looking forward to another season of its beauty. We are in zone 6B in Michigan

LOVE this plant! It is October 25th and it is still beautiful and in full bloom. I planted a new garden bed full of plants for my many hummingbirds and butterflies and pollinators and this is one of my (and theirs) favorite. The hummers ate from this and the Rockin Playin the Blues salvia all day long.

Despite good potting soil amended with Espoma plant starter, these plants didn’t amount to much and pooped out in the middle of July - now one is completely dead, and the other looks poorly. These came in a “biodegradable” pot that said to leave it in there and pot it after pulling off the bottom. I don’t see any evidence from the top that the pot degraded, so I‘m wondering if that contributed to their demise. So disappointed, especially since I paid so much to have these shipped to my house

Bought this for a planter since it get so big I started with a 4in pot. Good soil, appropriate fertilizer and water but it isn't growing....I am so disappointed. Was looking forward to watching the hummingbirds indulge. No I think I may need to pull it out of the planter and replace with something else. Columbus OH zone 6b

This plant is truly a rock star in the garden. Hit 105 here earlier this week and still looks amazing! In zone 9b is a perennial. So happy I added it to my garden. The pollinators LOVE it!
