Features
Bearing truer red flowers than the original Sunstar Red pentas, this beautiful red pentas plant fits beautifully with the others in the Sunstar series so they can all be grown together easily for a uniform look. They make ideal bedding plants in warmer climates, and unlike some pentas varieties, they also flourish in cooler zones. Their extra-large flower clusters are a strong draw for pollinators and hummingbirds.

Can be used as a cut flower where it is best used in shorter vessels.
Maintenance Notes:Pentas is best grown in good, moist soil, but it can tolerate poorer soils as well. They prefer a pH close to 7, so consider amending soil with pelletized lime if planting in an area with highly acidic soil. They are quite heat tolerant. An application of controlled release fertilizer at planting should be sufficient, but an additional application in mid-summer will help the plants thrive into Fall.
