I got this mock orange online, quart size, tiny but I could see the variegation on the leaves, I’m in zone 7b NC, it made it through the winter just fine but it lost variegation on the leaves, I’ll try to add a picture, only one or two leaves show it. I got beautiful flowers this year but I bought this one specifically for the variegation, fragrance and the compact size.

Conventional mock oranges look fabulous in bloom but don't have much to offer beyond that - until Illuminati Sparks mock orange (Philadelphus coronarius). Its lustrous green foliage is dotted with cheery yellow variegation for appeal that lasts early spring, summer, and beyond. Makes a very nice cut stem for foliage filler, as well as adding color and texture in the landscape. Fragrant white flowers in early summer.
