    Maintenance Notes:

Thanks to their naturally graceful habit, Chiffon roses of Sharon don't require much pruning. If you wish to prune them, however, early spring is the best time to do so. Note that rose of Sharon is quite late to leaf out in spring, so be patient with it.

We recommend full sun for rose of Sharon for the maximum amount of blooming and best color, but it can grow and flower reasonably well in partially shaded spots.

    Fun Facts:

The Chiffon® series was developed by Dr. Roderick Woods of England, who is also a world-reknown physicist with important contributions to motorcycle safety gear.

    • This is the first full season after planting two Proven Winners Star Blast Chiffons. I have them in from of the corner section of my back yard fence. That gives a nice background color to show off their beauty. They are in the eastern section of my yard and receive morning through late afternoon sun. I do water them several times a week depending on rain. They have blossomed incredible for their first full year of planting. The blossoms are all uniform in size, shape and color pattern. It is a very showy plant, and I am very pleased with them both. I am planning on buying more to dress up my yard/garden. I live in zone 5a.
