Features
Chandelier ‘Celebrate’ or Ficus microcarpa, is a delightful houseplant that could grow into a small tree in years. It has an upright, tree-like demeanor, with stems that turn woody over time, and support oblong oval leaves of medium green. These leaves, smooth and shiny, bear a warm gentle glow, especially when they’re newly emerging. Midribs are distinctly light in color. ‘Celebrate’ is a botanical masterpiece, in and of itself, but like other Ficus microcarpa, it would make an excellent specimen for sculpting in the ancient art of bonsai.

- Be sure to position your Ficus away from cold drafts and forced air.
- Ficuses thrive in bright, indirect light. They are not low light plants and should be placed near a window. East- or west-facing windows are good choices.
- Ficuses prefer to dry out some in between waterings. Allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out before giving your Ficus a good soaking.
- Feed your Ficus once per month at half strength when it is actively growing. Reduce frequency of fertilization in the winter months.
- Protect furniture when watering & fertilizing
- When repotting your Ficus, use all purpose potting mix with added orchid bark, perlite, and sand to ensure good drainage and plenty of nutrients.
- This Ficus has broad leaves that should be dusted regularly to ensure it is photosynthesizing all the light it can get.
